Content Strategy at Global Citizen

Global Citizen is an international non-profit organization that aims to eradicate extreme poverty by 2030. The organization has partnered with corporate sponsors like Gucci’s Chime for Change, The Bill and Belinda Gates Foundation, and Johnson & Johnson; as well as influencers and celebrities like Coldplay and Usher, to create awareness about global issues like health, education, and environment. As part of my role as an Editorial Intern at Global Citizen (May ’16 to Aug ’16), I created content on a wide range of topics, strategized how best to reach our target readership, and increased SEO traffic by optimizing keywords, headlines, and images. My content consistently ranked among the top 5 performing pieces, and reached a global readership of over 100,000.
